Photography days for the amateur and the expert

Hawkwise Falconry will be joining forces with experienced wildlife photographer Phill to host photography days at Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre, Sutton Cheney, Leicestershire. Currently we plan to have two different levels to reflect your differing degrees of ability.

Point & Click half-days - next date 3rd March 2012

For all who are lovers of birds of prey, but with no photographic skill to speak of, we have designed a half day experience. You will use our birds as models, starting with them perched and progressing to capturing a flying bird. Sessions will run from 11.00 to 1.30 or from 2 pm to 4.30. The fee is £35 (£15 for 10-16 year olds) refreshments included.

For details of availablity please contact Rebecca Friar on 01455 293341 or email her at hawkwise.falconry@yahoo.co.uk.

Big lens days - next Tuition Day planned for 21st April 2012 (11.00 -14.30)

Size isn't everything but you can spot the expert by the length of their lens (they hotly deny this). Bring yours along if you are a Club photographer, experienced amateur or a semi-professional. You will have Phil Homer, an expert and enthusiastic wildlife photographer, to guide you (if you need it) and a dedicated falconer to work with you and the birds throughout the day. Emphasis is on British birds of prey in flight.

Phil will advise you on how to get the best shot, how to frame it and will pass on those little tips that the novice misses.

For dates, times and bookings please email at phil@sublime-images.co.uk. Fee is £85 per session per person (special price for January 8th customers of £70. Lunch is not included but there is a licensed restaurant on site.

Participants, on both courses, are invited to put their work on the Hawkwise Falconry Flickr site.
